Being out of work for almost a month I got so much luxury of time. That means I had so many options of what I have to do.
Well, that’s what will I do. To know what to do. Am I weird? Well, that’s me. But, before you think this is a vanity blog post. This is not about me. Maybe, just maybe, this is also about you.
Did you give enough time to yourself and ask “what did I want to do with my life?”
Discover What Drives You
“Discover What Drives You”
That was the tagline when you visit this site — http://www.tonyrobbins.com/disc-profile/
The more you know yourself, the more effective you are in whatever aspect of your life. Actually, this site has already been told to us by my mentor Jomar Hilario more than a year ago. That was when I volunteered to be one of his facilitator’s in his Virtual Assistant Seminar.
“Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom.
Mastering others is strength, mastering yourself is true power.”
Four Components of Behavior
This is also a part of positioning ourselves as a virtual assistant. To do that we have to first know ourselves. On the site there’s an assessment which can categorize you to four different components.
- Decisive – this about how you approach problems and makes decisions
- Interactive – how you tend to interact with others and share options
- Stabilizing – how you tend to pace things in your environment
- Cautious – your preference for established protocol/standards
If you spell them out that would be DISC. The assessment was called DISC profile.
So That’s Why
After I finished that assessment a year ago, it shows that I’m a high C. That means I’m a cautious person. That maybe the reason it take sooooo much time for me to take action. Now I have a reason for my procrastination. Wink. 🙂
Oops, not really.
This is not a test so you can give excuses for your behavior. In my case, the DISC profile just told me that I adhere to protocols and procedures. That also reveals to me the reason why I lack the confidence to act. I can’t put the initiatives without following orders from other authority.
This blog is one of why way to counter that way of making myself so cautious that I don’t the things that I suppose to do.

If the purpose of doing things is finishing them, then we have to. Personally, I’m so frustrated with my results. I know the symptoms, but confused about the source. Knowing the sickness gave me a big leap of self-awareness. I highly suggest you try it out as well. That was free by the way. 🙂
